Motor vibration may be caused by rotor, coupling, or pulley imbalance, misalignment of the shaft system, bearing faults, poor foundation installation, and other factors.
To identify the cause of vibration, measure vibration levels at various points using a vibration meter before stopping the machine. Also, check whether the three-phase supply voltage is balanced and if any of the three-phase fuses have blown.
If necessary, disconnect the power and unclamp the coupling to isolate the motor from the load for independent rotation. This helps determine whether vibration originates from the motor itself or from the load and connection components.
Once the vibration source is identified, inspect electrical and mechanical causes separately to avoid blind troubleshooting.
